Glen Innes Highlands Economic Development Newsletter

January and February have been busy times with community consultation on the Draft Economic Development Strategy and the submission of more grant applications.For this financial year there has been 11 grants approved to the value of $4,646,000 and only 2 unsuccessful. We have 10 grant applications lodged and pending decisions to the value of $20,241,745. For details and information on grant opportunities for business, industry and community have a read of our Bid Blast February Bid Blast Marketing is extra busy with a new LIVE/INVEST campaign in final production and launching before the end of the month. Soon we'll have advertising opportunities open to local businesses in our new Visitor Guide and on the Glen Innes Highlands website - more details below. Local 'Things-to-do' are high on the agenda that will also serve as new products/experiences to attract tourists. We have Escape Rooms (full funded), Rail Trail (funding application submitted), Powerhouse Museum (in concept), Motor Sports Complex (in concept), Skate Park (funding application submitted) as well as an Art initiative occupy some of the empty shops during June. Highlands Hub - a business and community shared space - has been submitted for funding which will be supported online with Highlands Hub - Business (live) and Community (in development).
