Throughout the year, various Flag Raising ceremonies are held at the Australian Standing Stones.
The ceremonies are generally held in conjunction with the National Day of a particular Celtic nation. At all Flag Ceremonies, information is given about the patron saint and country, along with a poem and the anthem. A toast is made and the Caledonian Society provides traditional thematic foods for tasting.
Flag Ceremonies are held at 5pm at the Australian Standing Stones site.
Celtic culture is celebrated all year round in Glen Innes Highlands and some months there are multiple events.

The Australian Standing Stones Management Board and the Glen Innes Severn Council work together to continue the cultural improvement of Glen Innes Highlands.
In April 2017, multiple flagpoles were erected at the Standing Stones as a permanent monument.
The 8 Celtic flags, the flag of New South Wales, the Australian flag and the Australian Aboriginal flag fly as a permanent fixture at the national monument to Celtic Australian heritage.
