Throughout the year, various Flag lowering ceremonies are held at the Australian Standing Stones.
These events are held in honour of the National Days of the Celtic nations.
At the Flag lowerings, a short talk is given about the patron saint or culture and country, a toast and the playing of the anthem.
Enjoy traditional baked goods and there is often a raffle in support of site management.
Flag lowerings are hled at 4pm April to September and 5pm October to March.

In permanent celebration of the Celtic Nations and Celtic Australia, eleven flags fly from a set of flagpoles on Watsons Drive.
The Australian flag is flanked by the NSW and Aboriginal flag and beside them fly the flags of Ireland, Scotland, Wales, Cornwall, Isle of Man and Brittany.
Bookmarking these flags are the flags of the Celtic Council of Australia and the Australian Standing Stones in recognition of the joint efforts in bringing into being, the National Celtic monument.
In addition, there is a flagpole near Crofter's Cottage from which the flag lowerings take place and a flagpole overlooking the entrance hillside.
