Glen Innes Highlands Skywalk

A brand-new 80-metre-long boardwalk at Centennial Parklands in Glen Innes leads to three viewing platforms that offer spectacular views of the surrounding rural landscape and township.

Visitors can scan a QR code at each platform to access audio stories (including from local traditional custodians, astronomers, geologists and historians) and 360-degree drone footage that has been integrated into a mapping platform for those interested in exploring the beauty, culture and history of the region.  

This exciting attraction adds to the unique experience of visiting The Australian Standing Stones National Celtic Monument and The Croft Celtic Cultural Centre & Cafe - all located within Centennial Parklands, via Watsons Drive, Glen Innes.

Dive into Deepwater

The village of Deepwater is a popular location to stay overnight or explore during a road trip rest stop if you're travelling along the New England Highway.

With two great country pubs (Deepwater Hotel & Longhorn Bar & Grill), a brewery that also serves up delicious wood-fired pizzas (Deepwater Brewing), the best bakery on the New England Highway (Deepwater Bakery), a retro diner where you can enjoy tasty food and an old-fashioned milkshake (Susie's Diner), an antique shop with a notably extensive record collection (Echo's Antiques), a second-hand store, and lovely parklands to enjoy a picnic or a dip in the river.
