Highlands HUB was a hive of activity on the first day of the Australian Celtic Festival that took place in Glen Innes 4 to 7 May. We hosted the annual Celtic Symposium - an opportunity for anyone to come along to speak and learn about various topics of Celtic cultural significance, as the event celebrated its Year of Scotland.
A highlight was experiencing a performance by New Zealand-based Clan Celtica - a Scottish tribal music group of drummers and bagpipes.
The event was also the perfect opportunity to showcase 'Pink Boots' - the work of local artist Jo Enoch, which brightened the HUB community area with a suitably-themed piece. If you are wanting to bring the Pink Boots concept to your office space, contact Jo via email at [email protected].

WED 7 JUN: Masterclass: Engaging with Journalists

Building an audience is fundamental to business success. Why? Your audience gives you feedback on your products and services, is your biggest source of advocacy and most importantly, are your customers, One of the most effective but least understood routes to building an audience is through the media. Journalists are the gatekeepers – they decide who is useful and how they should be used. Working with journalists is no different to selling to customers, or to raising investment – it’s all about relationships.

This masterclass will help you to:

  • gain a greater understanding of the media;
  • learn how to engage with journalists;
  • help you build an effective press release.
