A STAR IN A DIFFERENT KIND OF SPACE

A star touched down at Highlands Hub this month to make use of the great facilities available whilst she was in Glen Innes visiting family.

Ms Kim Gina Ellis-Hayes is an award-winning international lawyer & space research professional with a background in metals, mining and mineral processing in addition to expertise in space research, technology & law.
Kim is the Chief Executive Officer and founder of International Earth & Space Technology, a private Australian company that delivers a range of specialist consultancy services for universities, corporate businesses and professional education providers in Europe, the USA and Australia. Kim and her team design and deliver lunar, interplanetary, and space resource utilisation, innovation & legal workshops in collaboration with NASA, STEM activities for students in the USA & Australia, and online technical education programs.

Kim is heading into space later this year on a commercial research mission into the properties of Earth’s atmosphere.

Here’s what Kim had to say about Highlands Hub:

“It’s such a great resource for the town - everything is so clean and beautifully decorated. It’s got everything an astronaut could need!"

Best of luck on your mission, Kim - You are out of this world!"

WHAT'S IT LIKE TO WORK AT THE HUB?

Taylors Civil Construction has been working out of Highlands Hub since it’s opening in October 2022 and has a yearly two-desk rental with a lockable office.

We checked in with Deb to learn first-hand what sharing a co-working space is like.

“My favourite part is the little community. I’ve made so many new friends since working from the Hub and I have some great brainstorming sessions with other people, even though we work in different fields”.

Highlands Hub offers private and shared offices, hot desks, meeting & training rooms, and a cosy community coworking lounge with options to join us for an hour, a day, a week, a month or longer.

If you're looking for a space to hire, meet, learn or teach, get in touch or book directly online.
