Welcome to the first dedicated newsletter from Glen Innes Severn Council about tourism and events in our local community.
Each month I'll be providing an update on all of Council's initiatives for the Visitor Economy including programs, training, industry news, initiatives, advice, updates and general guidance on how to leverage tourism and events for your business to help you grow.
As part of Council's Economic Development team, my job is to supervise the Visitor Information Centre, event manage the Australian Celtic Festival, be Council's one-point-of-contact for external event support, contribute to tourism product development and assist in nurturing new ideas in the tourism and events area.
As a part of this newsletter Brianna Fea will also provide marketing updates as they relate to the Visitor Economy and against our Glen Innes Highlands Marketing Strategy of Visit, Live Invest.
Advertising opportunity on the Glen Innes Highlands Website and the new Glen Innes Highlands Visitor Guide.
We're working on a brand new Visitor Guide which will have opportunities to promote your business to visitors. It won't be your boring old directly and list, it will have local stories and celebrate what's unique about our town - more of a coffee-book style!
The guide won't just be in Glen Innes, in fact it will stretch far and wide to multiple Visitor Information Centers. We're also adding digital advertising space to our website Glen Innes Highlands which will be available soon. If you'd like to register your interest and be one of the first then contact Brianna!
