Total Glen Innes Severn LGA allocation of $50,000 Run By: NSW Government – Office of Sport | | | The key objectives of the Program align with the NSW Government Office of Sport Strategic Plan, with the specific objectives to:- increase regular and ongoing participation in sport
- increase participation and access for women, girls and population groups under-represented in participation including, Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) communities, people with disability and First Nations peoples.
- address barriers to participation in sport

Please note, funding is only provided for projects that are yet to take place, and not for costs already incurred. Applicants who have received funding from the Anzac Community Grants Program for three consecutive years will be ineligible for funding in the subsequent fourth year. Grant categories: - Local community historical research and education;
- Preservation and/or research materials, or display of war memorabilia, artefacts and/or research materials relevant to the local community;

Grants are available for a broad range of initiatives that directly and clearly benefit local communities. Applications from not-for-profit organisations in communities of fewer than 15,000 people are prioritised, particularly those communities whose size, remoteness and relative access to services, funding, and resources present particular ongoing challenges. The Strengthening Rural Communities program accepts applications at any time. FRRR considers applications and makes grant distributions on a quarterly basis. Past grants have helped communities create playgrounds, community gardens and workshops, assisted with funding for upgrades of shared facilities including showgrounds, and restorations of community halls and kitchens. Through this Community Heritage Grants program, Heritage NSW is seeking ideas that actively promote heritage through meaningful engagement with the community. This program encourages innovative thinkers to utilise modern technologies to connect younger generations to NSW heritage. This is a competitive funding round, eligible applicants can apply for up to $50,000 to engage local and broader communities. Successful projects must be delivered between July 2023 and May 2025.
Further information & eligibility. | | Aboriginal Cultural Heritage GrantsOpen: Now Closes: 12 noon, 2 December 2022 Value: Heritage management document: Up to $30,000 Heritage works project: Up to $80,000 Run By: NSW Government - Department of Planning and Environment | | | The NSW Government is continuing its responsibility in safeguarding Aboriginal heritage through the Aboriginal Cultural Heritage Grants program. This program aligns with the Government’s broader commitment to ensure Aboriginal cultural heritage is preserved and maintained. Through this Aboriginal Cultural Heritage Grants program, Heritage NSW is looking for projects that support better management, maintenance, conservation and activation of declared Aboriginal Places under the National Parks and Wildlife Act 1974. This is a competitive funding round and eligible applicants can apply for up to:- $30,000 for an Aboriginal Place management document, or
- 80,000 for works to a declared Aboriginal Place. Successful projects must be delivered between July 2023 and May 2025.

Run By: NSW Government - Service NSW | | | Parents, guardians and carers can claim a $100 voucher per year to put towards the cost of lessons and fees with registered providers. It's a great opportunity to let kids find their passion and learn new skills. Vouchers can be used to contribute to registration, participation and tuition costs for performing arts, visual arts, coding, languages, literature, music and other creative and cultural activities with our approved list of activity providers.

Community grants (up to $10,000): These small grants are for projects and activities that are focused on the local community, commemorate the service and sacrifice of local community members, and are primarily accessed by the local community. Major grants ($10,001 to $150,000): These projects may include the construction of new war or peace memorials, where none currently exist, as well as additions to existing memorials. During the trial, you don't pay the young person. Instead, the Australian Government gives them $200 a fortnight on top of their income support and covers their insurance. Businesses can also receive up to $10,000 (GST inclusive) through a Youth Bonus wage subsidy if they hire an eligible young person between 15 and 24 years of age. This contributes to an outcome of quicker recovery from natural disaster. The scheme will pay for the costs of donating and transporting donated fodder to affected properties or storage facilities in a central location up to a maximum of distance of 1,500 kilometres.
Further information & eligibility. | | Bushfire Legal Aid Scheme – Primary Producers or Small Business OwnersOpen: Now Closes: Ongoing Value: Up to a total of $7,000 funded services Run By: Legal Aid NSW | | | If you’ve been affected by a bushfire, storm or flood, Legal Aid NSW can help you with everyday legal problems including insurance claims and disputes, financial hardship, tenancy and Centrelink. An Early Resolution Assistance (ERA) approval of $2000 in professional fees is available for legal services and up to an additional $5000 is available for disbursements. Funding extensions are available in reasonable circumstances. An eligible business or primary producer with more than one bushfire related legal matter may receive more than one approval for legal services and related expenses.
To be eligible for funding under the Scheme, the applicant must be: - a primary producer or small business owner;
- have a farm or business located in a designated LGA (Glen Innes Severn is included on this LGA eligibility list); and
- have a legal issue arising from the 2019/2020 bushfire season in one of the designated LGAs.

Round One closes 14 November 2022; Round Two closes 19 March 2023; Round Three closes 14 May 2023 Value: Not specified Run By: NSW Government - Department of Education | | | The Major Capital Fund supports the creation of additional preschool places through new builds, extensions and renovations of centre-based community preschools and long day care services running a preschool program in areas of need and demand across NSW.
The Major Capital Fund must contribute to the following objectives:- maximise the number of preschool places available for pre-school aged children to attend at least 600 hours per year or 15 hours per week of quality preschool education.
- ensure the continued operation of the service to deliver preschool places throughout the ten-year compliance period.
- support ongoing management of the service in line with applicable regulatory requirements.
- where possible, leverage funds from sources external to the department, including private finance, charitable donations and grants from state and federal government agencies.
There will be three rounds of funding in 2022/2023:- Round 1: open from 4 October to 14 November 2022 (for community preschools).
- Round 2: open from 6 February to 19 March 2023 (expanded eligibility for community preschools and long day care services offering a preschool program).
- Round 3: open from 3 April to 14 May 2023 (expanded eligibility for community preschools and long day care services offering a preschool program).
Further information & eligibility. | | COVID-19 Support: Community & Business | | | FRRR SRC – Rebuilding Regional Communities – COVID-19 StreamOpen: Now Closes: 29 November 2022 Value: Up to $10,000 Run By: Foundation for Rural and Regional Renewal (FRRR), on behalf of the Australian Government. | | | This stream of the Strengthening Rural Communities grant program is a special funding stream to support communities adversely affected by the COVID-19 pandemic that is available in partnership with the Australian Government. Grants are available for a broad range of grassroots, community-led initiatives that assist communities to recover from and adapt to the impacts of the COVID pandemic. Funds can support community-led, place-based initiatives that:- Enhance the process of recovery from the COVID pandemic for remote, rural and regional communities;
- Reduce social isolation and foster stronger, more resilient remote, rural and regional communities; and/or
- Sustain local, regional, rural and remote organisations and their work.
The Rebuilding Regional Communities stream received grant funding from the Australian Government.
Further information & eligibility. | | COVID-19 Tax Relief Measures NSW - BusinessesOpen: Now Closes: Not specified Value: Tax relief measures Run By: NSW Government - Revenue | | | The following tax relief support is available for NSW businesses impacted by COVID-19: - 2021 payroll tax deferral and new support payment arrangement for ALL businesses.
- 50% reduction in 2021/22 payroll tax liability for businesses with grouped Australian wages of $10 million or less who experienced a 30% decline in turnover.
- Payroll tax customers eligible for a 2021 COVID-19 Business Grant or JobSaver payment whose total grouped Australian wages for the 2021/22 financial year are $10 million or less, will have their annual tax liability reduced by 50% when they lodge their 2022 Annual Payroll Tax Reconciliation online.
- Customers with total grouped wages of $10 million or less, who did not receive a 2021 COVID-19 Business Grant or JobSaver payment, may still be eligible for the 50% reduction if they are able to demonstrate that they have experienced a 30% decline in turnover during a minimum 14-day period during the ‘Greater Sydney lockdown’ (26 June to 30 November 2021) compared to the same period in 2019 or 2020.
