Welcome to the latest Bid Blast

Hello to everyone. The Christmas and New Year period is almost here. During this festive period there are a large number of grant opportunities available.
This bid blast focuses on a selection of these opportunities under the categories of:

1. Business Grants

1.1 Regional Skills Relocation Grant
Open: Now
Closes: Ongoing
Value: Up to $10,000 per worker
Run By: NSW Government Department of Regional NSW
Up to $10,000 per employee for the costs of relocating staff from metropolitan centres around Australia to Regional NSW. For example, a business can receive pre-approval for relocation of 50 employees with a grant of up to $500,000.
A Skills Package for accredited training and industry related disciplines is also offered. This includes:
• An account manager to support workforce development strategic needs assessment.
• Development of bespoke training solutions for the investor workforce and SME supply chain.
• Subsidy assistance.
Grants will be available for businesses operating in NSW regional eligible industries. The funding is available to assist with the relocation costs of eligible skilled workers they employ that move from metropolitan areas to regional NSW.
Approved businesses will be reimbursed up to $10,000 to assist with the following relocation costs incurred by eligible skilled workers they employ:
• furniture removal
• travel for immediate family to relocate
• temporary accommodation for up to three months
• furniture storage for up to three months

1. Business Grants
1.3 Farm Investment Loans

Open: Now
Closes: Ongoing
Value: Up to $2 million
Run By: Australian Government Regional Investment Corporation
Strengthen your farm business. Take steps to access markets interstate or outside Australia. Prepare for, manage through or recover from drought. You can apply for this loan if you solely or mainly sell products into supply chains that are interstate or outside Australia, or plan to in the future.
It may be used for:
• improve long-term strength, resilience and profitability
• diversify your markets
• refinance existing debt
• prepare for, manage through or recover from drought
• access new debt for operating expenses and capital
If you contribute at least 75% of your labour to the farm business and earn at least 50% of your income from this business (under normal circumstances) you may be eligible. Your ABN and GST registered business will also need to be in financial need of a loan, have an existing commercial debt, be financially viable long-term and have the capacity to repay the loan. 2. Community Grants
2.1 Gambling Research Capacity Grants 2021

Value: PhD Scholarships: Up to $55,000 per year for 3 years.
Run By: NSW Government -The Office of Responsible Gambling
The Office of Responsible Gambling once again invites the best and brightest minds to apply for funding through the Gambling Research Capacity Grants program.
Applications for PhD scholarships are now open. These grants aim to build capability and capacity for Australian gambling research and help develop innovative approaches to working towards zero gambling harm.
In 2021, the Responsible Gambling Fund will provide funding for two full time PhD scholarships (or part time equivalent) to build capability and capacity for Australian gambling research. Study grants will also be available later in 2021, subject to the easing of current restrictions.
The Responsible Gambling Fund recognises that high quality research provides the evidence base for responsible gambling policy, interventions and programs.
The Gambling Research Capacity Grant program will offer two grant types in 2021:
• PhD scholarships: up to $55,000 per year for three years per candidate, or pro-rata for part-scholarships (2 available)
• Study grants: $1,000 to $5,000 per recipient

1.2 Australian Government’s Youth Jobs Path

Open: Now
Closes: Ongoing
Value: Up to $10,000 each business
Run By: Australian Government Job Active
Trial a young person to find out if they're the right fit for your business and get $1,000 to help cover the costs of the trial. During the trial, you don't pay the young person. Instead, the Australian Government gives them $200 a fortnight on top of their income support and covers their insurance.
Businesses can also receive up to $10,000 (GST inclusive) through a Youth Bonus wage subsidy if they hire an eligible young person between 15 and 24 years of age.
The young person must:
• be a fully eligible participant, commenced with a jobactive or Transition to Work provider
• have received employment services from a provider (jobactive, Transition to Work, Disability Employment Services or Community Development Programme provider) continuously for the last six months
• have mutual obligation requirements at the time they commence in the wage subsidised job
• not been in a pre-existing employment relation with you in the previous six months
• not be an immediate family member.
