Does your Community Kitchen need an upgrade?
The RASF is giving rural and regional NSW community organisations the chance to apply for kitchen cabinetry and appliances to create or upgrade a community kitchen. The RASF Community Kitchen Grant is made up of benches and cabinetry as well as at least $10,000 worth of state of the art appliances and white goods from the Australian Women’s Weekly Theatre Kitchen at the Sydney royal Easter Show.
Drought Community Support Initiative (DCSI)
Suitable For: Farmers, farm workers and farm suppliers/contractors

Value: Up to $3000 ($2000 in cash and $1000 in vouchers)
Run By: Australian Government – Department of Infrastructure, Regional Development and Cities
The funding is now available for farmers, farm workers and farm suppliers/contractors facing hardship due to drought. It can be used to spend in local communities or to cover urgent bills such as food, petrol and utilities. The $3,000 per household can consist of up to $2,000 in cash and $1,000 in vouchers.
The Salvation Army, St Vincent de Paul Society and Rotary Australia World Community Service have been engaged to deliver the assistance. Eligible households should reach out to these organisations directly to seek financial support (details below).

Grants for communities in small rural, regional and remote locations in Australia. Two tiers of funding – Small & Vital and Larger Leverage. Opens 19th February 2019

The Tackling Tough Times Together program helps communities access the resources they need to support one another through the drought. Open year round, grants up to $20,000 and $60,000 are available, with EOIs invited for grants up to $150,000.

The Small Grants for Rural Communities is the longest running and broadest program FRRR offers, opening twice per year.
It is a great example of a collaborative program supported by various partners which has the flexibility to address issues that make a difference to the sustainability of rural, regional and remote communities.
Grants of up to $5,000 are available for projects and activities that offer clear public benefit for communities in rural, regional or remote Australia. Priority is given to communities of 10,000 or fewer.
