Bid Blast #6 December 2018
Welcome to Glen Innes Severn Councils newsletter informing committees, community groups, not for profits of potential funding opportunities through grants.
Planning
Planning is the major part of any successful grant funding application.
Developing the project concepts, consulting with stakeholders, getting support and help from other organisations and gathering all of the relevant information takes time. The greater the planning, attention to detail and project clarity the greater your chances of funding success.
It is important that your project fits into a strategic plan within your local community, town or region and abides by local planning laws. A clear organisational statement which describes your structure, purpose, administrative and financial processes, clients and products or services will add weight to your proposal.
A well-developed Business Plan for your project including quotes and estimates for any costs is good and is often essential.
You will be able to utilise relevant information, once organised and placed in an easily accessible format for different proposals and applications; the information you gather for one proposal will often be useful for other proposals.
Remember: It is much easier to find funding for a well-planned project, than it is to fit the project to the funding.
Kind regards,
Dennis McIntyre – Grants Officer GISC – [email protected] – 0427 405 317
