The Northern Inland is one of only ten regions across Australia to be selected for the Regional Employment Trials Program. The Regional Employment Trials program provides local stakeholders in selected regions, including businesses, not-for-profits and local government agencies, with grants to trial local approaches to delivering employment related projects.

The objectives of the program are to deliver:

strong connections between regional stakeholders, including employment services providers

employment initiatives that meet local needs

improved awareness of local labour markets

the potential for improved regional employment outcomes

Grants are for between $7,500 and $200,000, for up to 75% of eligible project costs. Projects must be completed by 30 June 2020.

Australian Apprentice Wage Subsidy Trial

Suitable For: Employers who employ a new worker, Australian Apprentice, undertaking a full-time Certificate III or IV qualification that leads to an occupation listed on the National Skills Needs List in a rural and regional workplace.

The Australian Apprentice Wage Subsidy trial aims to support apprenticeships in (Skills Need) occupations in rural and regional areas and encourage participation in apprenticeships by employers who have not previously engaged apprentices, as well as re-engaging employers who may have disengaged from the system.

Inspiring Australia – Science Engagement Programme

The Inspiring Australia – Science Engagement Programme seeks to achieve:

Farm Business Skills Professional Development Program

As part of the NSW Government’s Drought Strategy, a Farm Business Skills Professional Development Program has been developed to support farm business in all conditions, but particularly in relation to preparing for and responding to drought.

Farmers are now able to view a list of pre-approved courses. This list will be updated as additional products become available. Alternatively, farmers can apply for consideration to attend other professional development activities which they have identified as meeting their particular requirements.

Create NSW offers direct funding to organisations, artists, practitioners and arts and cultural workers through the Arts and Cultural Development Program (ACDP).

The program funds everything from multiyear programs to one-off projects and professional development opportunities, across visual arts, museums and history, literature, performing arts, music and more.

Create NSW also delivers on defined and developing priorities, new opportunities through specific strategic initiatives and targeted support.

Disabled People and Families Organisations – ILC Readiness Grant Round 2018-19

Suitable For: Organisations that:

• Actively demonstrate their commitment to the Social Model of Disability, which seeks to remove barriers for people with disability to access mainstream services and live an ordinary life.
• Are run by and for people with disability and/or their families.
• Are led and controlled by people with disability and/or their families with a minimum membership of 50% of people with a disability and/or their families making up the organisation’s board, staff, volunteers or members.

The Australian Government is inviting organisations through an open non-competitive process to apply for the Disabled Peoples and Families Organisations – ILC Readiness Grant Round 2018-19

The objectives of this grant round are to:
