1.1 Destination NSW Regional Event Fund
Open: 3 November 2021

Value: Incubator Event Stream: Up to $20,000 Ex GST
Flagship Event Stream: Annual grants of $20,000 or triennial grants of $30,000 Ex GST
Event Development Stream: Up to $50,000 Ex GST

The Regional Event Fund identifies and supports events in Regional NSW that have the potential to act as cornerstone, or ‘Flagship’,
tourism eventsfor their area by attracting overnight visitation to their region and delivering long-term benefits to the host destination.
The Regional Event Fund comprises three funding streams providing a development pipeline for events from inception, through emergence,
to their establishment as tourism events:
• Incubator Event stream, for the establishment of new events
• Flagship Event stream, for the marketing of emerging events to increase their profile and encourage visitation
• Event Development stream, for the strategic development of proven events as drivers of tourism

1.2 Alfresco Restart Package – Outdoor Dining
Open: Expected to be November 2021
Closes: To be specified
Value: $5,000 per hospitality business, capped at 500 businesses.
Run By: NSW Government – Planning, Industry & Environment
$5,000 grants will be available for 5,000 hospitality businesses to establish new alfresco outdoor dining settings in a park
or public space off the ground.

1.3 Restart Investment to Sustain and Expend (RISE) Fund - Batch 7
Open: Now
Closes: 11.45pm, 5 December 2021
Value: Grants between $75,000 to $2 million per project
Run By: Australian Government – Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development and Communications
The RISE Fund is for Organisations in the arts and entertainment sector, supporting this sector to reactivate.
The program is targeting funding towards the arts and entertainment sector organisations to assist in the presentation of cultural
and creative projects, activities and events to rebuild confidence amongst investors, producers and consumers.
Projects that target audiences in outer metropolitan, regional and remote areas will also be taken into account, as well as projects
that in that involve tours and use local regional pre-production and production, services and support acts. This grant is competitive based.

1.4 Indigenous Local Employment Fund

Value: Estimated grant value from $5,000.00 to $250,000.00
Run By: Commonwealth Government - National Indigenous Australians Agency
The National Indigenous Australians Agency (NIAA) is supporting increased Indigenous employment participation in COVID-19
affected labour markets. The ILEF will support innovative, short-term initiatives that address employment barriers.
Projects in regional and remote areas are especially encouraged.
Application Submission: By invitation only. Organisations must first contact and discuss their proposal with the NIAA Regional office
in the locality where the proposed project will take place. Selection is by Closed Non-Competitive.

1.5 NSW Government – Mice Control Support Program – Farmers buying Zinc Phosphide

Closes: 17 December 2021
Value: A rebate of 50 per cent on zinc phosphide purchases, up to $10,000.
Run By: NSW Government – Rural Assistance Authority
Farmers experiencing financial hardship due to the mouse plague may be eligible for assistance with purchasing costs
of zinc phosphide to provide financial and cash flow relief.
If you are a primary producer in an eligible Local Government Area, you may be eligible to claim
• a rebate of 50 per cent on zinc phosphide purchases, up to $10,000.
The rebate covers purchases of zinc phosphide bait between 1 January 2021 to 17 December 2021.

1.6 Impact Investment Ready Growth Grant

Value: Up to $140,000

The Impact Investment Ready Growth Grant provides impact businesses and mission-driven organisations with grants of up
to $140,000 for business, financial, legal and other capacity building support from providers to secure investment.

1.7 On-farm Emergency Water Infrastructure Rebate Scheme
Open: Now
Closes: 30 June 2022 or until expended
Value: Up to $25,000 per rural landholder
Run By: NSW Government – Rural Assistance Authority
This scheme helps Australian farmers to better prepare, respond to and recover from drought. Primary producers and horticulture farmers can
apply for rebates to buy and install on-farm water infrastructure to water livestock and permanent plantings. Eligible farmers can claim up to 25%
(of which at least 50% of the rebate will be provided by the relevant state or territory government) of expenses for on-farm water infrastructure
up to a maximum total rebate of $25,000.

2.1 NSW Government - Local Sport Grant Program
Open: 12 October 2021
Closes: 1.00pm, 19 November 2021
Value: Funding of $50,000 per electorate will be allocated to all 93 electorates throughout NSW.
Maximum available amounts per application are:
• Sport Development: $2,000 • Sport Event: $5,000 • Sport Access: $5,000
• Sport Facility: $15,000

The key objectives of the Program align to the Office of Sport Strategic Plan with the specific objectives to:
• Increase regular and on-going participation in sport
• Increase participation and access for women, girls and population groups under-represented in participation including, culturally and
linguistically diverse (CALD) communities, people with a disability and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders (ATSI)
• Address barriers to participation in sport or structured physical activity
• Assist sport clubs to provide quality service to their members and meet community needs.

2.2 Strengthening Rural Communities - Small & Vital

Value: Up to $10,000
Run By: Foundation for Rural and Regional Renewal (FRRR)
The Strengthening Rural Communities program gives small rural, regional and remote communities across Australia the opportunity to
access funds that can benefit and help secure their future prosperity. Grants are available for a broad range of initiatives that directly and
clearly benefit local communities. Applications from not-for-profit organisations in communities of fewer than 15,000 people are prioritised.

2.3 Recreational Fishing Trusts

Closes: 3 December 2021
Value: Small projects - seeking less than $10,000 of funding
Large projects - seeking more than $10,000 of funding
Run By: NSW Government – Department of Primary Industries
Anyone can apply for funding from the Recreational Fishing Trusts, including fishing organisations, universities, councils, community
groups, individuals etc. Organisations applying for funding should be incorporated. Joint applications are also encouraged.
Over the years, the Trusts have provided funding to a wide range of projects including:
• Recreational fishing enhancement - fish aggregating devices, artificial reefs and fish stocking
• Fishing facilities and access - fishing platforms, fish cleaning tables, enhancing access
• Fishing education - fishing workshops, Fishcare volunteers, schools education
• Aquatic habitat rehabilitation - community grants to remove barriers to fish migration, replanting & protecting river bank
vegetation, restoring water flows etc.
• Research on fish and recreational fishing - fishing surveys, biology of popular recreational species, angler catch projects
• Enforcement of fishing rules - Fisheries officers
• Gone Fishing NSW Day fishing club grants

2.4 Habitat Action Grants

Value: Up to $40,000 each
Run By: NSW Government – Department of Primary Industries
The Habitat Action Grants are funded from the Recreational Fishing Trusts which direct revenue generated by the
NSW Recreational Fishing Fee towards onground actions to improve fish habitat and recreational fishing in NSW.
Angling clubs, individuals, community group, local councils and organisations interested in rehabilitating fish habitats in
freshwater and saltwater areas throughout NSW can apply for grants of up to $40,000.

2.5 Dine and Discover Vouchers – Extension & Additional Vouchers
Open: 4 x $25 Vouchers now, 2 x Additional Vouchers from 1 December 2021
Closes: 30 June 2022
Value: Total 6 x vouchers. 4 x $25 Vouchers now (Two x $25 for eating out or takeaway, two x $25 for entertainment), if not already claimed.
From 1 December 2021, additional 2 x $25 Vouchers (One x $25 for eating out or takeaway, One x $25 for entertainment)

Where can you redeem your vouchers:

• museums, galleries and historic sites

• recreational activities such as go-karting, indoor climbing, mini-golf, billiards, bowling or ice-rinks

• zoos, botanic gardens, wildlife parks and nature reserves.

2.6 Community War Memorials Fund

Value: Up to $10,000
Run By: NSW Government – Department of Veterans Affairs
Funding to help conserve, repair and protect war memorials across NSW including conservation assessments, honour roll repair,
war memorial cleaning and conservation work, arborist advice for war memorial trees, security measures for memorials, repairs to
war memorial halls and improvements to the accessibility of memorials.

4.1 Pandemic Leave Disaster Payment – Individuals
Open: Now
Closes: Not Specified
Value: $1,500 for each 14-day period you’ve been told to self-isolate or quarantine,
or are caring for someone with COVID-19 for eligible applicants.
Run By: Commonwealth Government - Services Australia
Provides a lump sum financial assistance to limit the financial hardship for eligible individuals in New South Wales who are unable to
earn an income having been informed by a health official in the state they live and/or work to self-isolate or quarantine due to COVID-19.
Claimants are required to complete an application by telephone or by submitting a completed claim form by fax to Services Australia.

4.2 Small Business Fees and Charges Rebate

Value: Up to $1,500
Run By: NSW Government – Service NSW
If you're a sole trader, the owner of a small business or a not-for-profit organisation in NSW, you may be eligible for a small business fees
and charges rebate of $1,500. This rebate helps businesses recover from the impacts of COVID-19 and encourages growth by reducing the
cost of running a business. Eligible businesses or not-for-profits only need to apply for the rebate once, but can submit multiple claims until
the full value of $1,500 is reached.
Funds can be used to offset the costs of eligible NSW and local government fees and charges due and paid from 1 March 2021.
These include, but are not limited to:
• food authority licences
• liquor licences
• tradesperson licences
• event fees
• outdoor seating fees
• council rates.

4.3 Natural Disaster Transport Subsidy

Value: Up to $15,000
Run By: NSW Government – Rural Assistance Authority
A natural disaster assistance transport subsidy is available to eligible farmers who are affected by a declared natural disaster event.
This subsidy pays for the cost of transporting:
• fodder and/or water to an affected property
• stock to sale or slaughter
• stock to/from agistment
Note: Drought is no longer a declared natural disaster
Subsidies of up to 50% of the total freight costs to a maximum of $15,000 per farm enterprise per financial year are available.
The $15,000 is counted within a financial year from the date when the payment is made to the applicant.
